Aerosmith Hyde Park written by Jaxxi D
After emerging from the tent where the 2nd stage was, we went to the main stage, and before settling there, brought our t-shirts and
some well earned grub.

We sat through most the bands onstage on the main stage but
here are the overall, thoughts I had on them, The Answer drew
a lot of attention when they hit the stage, (I’d seen these guys
perform support for Alterbridge not so long ago) and they have
definitely made their mark moving up to play such a large stage at
Hyde Park. The fan base for these guys seems to be pretty big
and its awesome to see them doing so well, with both the older
fans and younger fans.

As the afternoon drew on and the rain continued to fall umbrellas
went up but spirits weren’t dampened. Next up onstage was Chris
Cornell, and although I have never really listened to much of his
material before, I was totally emersed in his performance. His
voice was amazing, and highlights of his show included the hit
from James Bond Casino Royale ‘You know my name’ and many
Soundgarden and Audioslave favourites. I will definitely go away
a fan of his even if I wasn’t initially.

Now the moment everyone was waiting for after a bit of a wait
between Chris Cornell and change of the set Aerosmith took the
stage to an enormous welcome from all. They hit the stage with ‘Love In an Elevator’ and the unmistakable voice of Steven Tyler was
heard through the whole of Hyde Park.

Being one of the younger fans in their audience it was pure magic for me to see this band up there giving it there all, this is what rocks
about. The most memorable moment for me was yet to come though when they played ‘I Don’t Wana Miss A Thing’, this was so
beautiful live and I shared one of the most amazing songs with some of my closest mates, something I will never forget.

Unfortunately we had to leave early to get a train home but I was however informed that later in the encore more was to come from
the surprises when Run DMC joined the guys onstage for ‘Walk this Way.’

What a gig and what a show, fucking amazing!!!!
