| NF: Hi how are you? DR.K: Nice, now I ve finished my lunch, and I feel fat (laughs) NF : So, how did you come up with the name NuRomance for the band? DR.K : The 1st band name was Pussy Juice cos we did nice art with a very cool Goth girl, after I decided to search for a name more cool, we decided to change the music style, leave punk and mix punk, metal, grunge etc, a new panorama, my mental project and so we have NuRomance. NF: Cool, Who are your influences musically? DR.K: Nice question, I don’t try to be influenced by other musicians, but you know its impossible, so Marilyn Manson, Ozzy, Alice Cooper, The Misfits, Motley Crue, but I love EBM, industrial and nu-metal too. I think the artist we can put ourselves near to is Wednesday 13, not much for the music style but really for the inspirations like horror movies and the capacity to direct. NF: Good Stuff, Who would you like to tour with if you had the chance? DR.K: The Misfits, or Wednesday 13 NF: That’s a good choice, Id definitely be up for that if you did. DR.K: Oh, ok thanks. NF: No problems If you were to come to the UK where would you like to visit? DR.K: Your room, (laughs), hmm I wanna visit Fuckingham Palace, ehm Buckingham Palace and Big Ben, oh and I wanna visit every pub! NF: Cool. What do you think about when you go on stage? DR.K: I don’t know, I’m always drunk, I think to amuse me and people, fundamentally we play music to kick ass. NF: What’s your favourite cd at the moment? that once was 12pm, I was 12 and I was watching Sky with my mother and we saw a strange flaming shine falling down we thought about a falling star, but the day after magazines told about a UFO sighting. NF: Which of the 7 deadly sins would you say you are? DR.K: (Laughs) Pride. NF: What can fans of NuRomance expect from the rest of the year? DR.K: With our manager we are planning our ‘Anal Bombardment’ tour we hope to play in many places, fans will get a cool fuckin cd and violent shows, you can take a little taste in our myspace at Myspace.com/nur0mance NF: What’s your favourite movie of all time? DR.K: The House of 1000 Corpses, Dawn of the Dead, and all the Nightmares series. NF: Good choice there. Can you tell us a tour story? DR.K: About what? NF: You choose DR.K: I have a bloody story for you spooky children, was our 2nd play with my oldest band Scratch Crazy, we was an opener for a cool Italian band STP, that night I took drugs, and alcohol, I was very sick, I remember that I fell onstage and broke my face against a voice audio amplifier, I did the entire show with a blood mask and I didn’t feel anything. NF: I’m Sorry I tried not to laugh. DR.K: Tis ok still brings a smile to my face. NF: What’s your favourite song to play at gigs? DR.K: Hmmm, I wrote all songs for NuRomance, now we play a new song called Falling Down its very cool, and powerful, and makes very good mosh, but I love to play Slit, its fuckin cool, fast and painless, Slit will never leave our bill. NF: Ok last question If you had a chance to play a festival in the UK which would it be? DR.K: Reading Festival NF: Why? DR.K: Hmmm, its 1 of the biggest festivals in Europe, but My dreams and the rest of my career will lay at Summer Sonic in Tokyo. NF: Awesome, well thanks for your time. listening to much Rob Zombie, Soil, and Dope at the
moment, but my favourite cd at the moment is
NuRomance, Pray for Rocks, (laughs.)
NF: What do you like doing in your spare time?
DR.K: I do things that I can say, I play guitar, spend
time with my girlfriend and her troublemaking dog
(Sirio) and I’m building a guitar.
NF: Do you believe in ghosts and have you had any
scary experiences you can tell us about?
DR.K: Hmmm, I’ve got 2 black cats, no serious,
hmmmm I never believe these things, I remember
