NOIZEFRONT~How did your band name come about?
RIckey: I really like our band name, however, I have nothing to do with it's
selection. I joined the band long after the name was conceived.

NOIZEFRONT~What was the best thing or weirdest thing you have ever received from a fan?
Kyle:I thought it was really cool to have dolls & drawings
made of me in previous bands that I have played with.
The worst thing I've recieved from fans would be death
threats & scary phone calls.
Rickey: I'm easy to please, I just like receiving spare guitar picks, because I tend
to lose them daily. I'm not so sure about the weirdest. I don't really find
much weird these days.

NOIZEFRONT~What are your major influences?
Kyle: Kim Deal, Kathleen Hanna, Sonic Youth, My Bloody
Valentine, Helium.
Rickey: Heart break, 60's pop culture, 80's dark new wave, Black & White film and
photography. Bands like the Cure, Radiohead, Joy Division, Led Zeppelin

NOIZEFRONT~How do you prepare before a show?
Kyle: Try to get some quiet time to get together & get
psyched up.
Rickey: I tend to get really nervous and fidgety. I am still trying  to settle on an
effective routine which reduces anxiety. My current elixir of
choice, vodka,
can be easily misused and detrimental to the actual performance
regardless
of its defeat of the nerves.

NOIZEFRONT~What is your favorite song to perform?
Kyle: I love playing them all, but "Crispin Glover" & "Black
Horse" are probably my favorites.
Rickey: I really like playing "Crispin Glover". It is my favorite
song
off 'Sweet
Heart Dealer'.

NOIZEFRONT~What was your first album?
Kyle: "Look What the Cat Dragged In" by Poison... UGH!!!
Rickey: I grew up in a small town, and I would walk to the local library
and check
out (rent) records on vinyl. The first album I actually paid for to keep was
"true blue" by Madonna, such a  classic.

NOIZEFRONT~What is your favorite food?
Kyle: Sushi, asparagus, broccoli, homemade mac & cheese,
mashed potatoes & salmon
Rickey: Candy & Liquor.

NOIZEFRONT~What do you do for fun/ wind down? What are your hobbies?
Kyle: I like to cook & watch trash tv and movies.
Rickey: I enjoy the basic and predictable social activities, going to movies, dinner
dates, going to dive bars with friends, etc... However, I would rather clean
than shop, and I would rather listen to records than watch TV, oh and I
despise crowded, snobby clubs with over priced weak drinks.

NOIZEFRONT~What cd is in your cd player right now?
Kyle:"Reject All American" by Bikini Kill & The Shins' new
CD.
Rickey: Not so sure... but I can tell you what I have on my turntable, Judas Priest
"Hellbent for Leather". (I'm so busted.)

NOIZEFRONT~What is the best rumor you have heard about your own band?
Kyle: Hmmm... I can't tell you cause it might be true...
Rickey: I probably shouldn't repeat it considering it turned out to be true!

NOIZEFRONT~Have you ever had a Creepy experience? Ghost like etc?
Kyle: My entire life has been a creepy experience.
Rickey: I was raised in a 100 year old house. I think it was very inhabited.
What happened??
Mainly just a lot of poltergeist-like occurrences... being locked in rooms,
having curtains opened in the middle the night, devices being unplugged or
turned on inconveniently, items moved or missing, etc... little pranks, but
nothing major or harmful. I am of the opinion that spooky stuff is not
necessarily scary stuff.

NOIZEFRONT~What is the story behind H/C ?
Rickey: Think gay men, drugs, & Madonna.

NOIZEFRONT~Do you have any tats How many ?
Kyle: Yes, I have many.
Rickey: A few dozen, yet not enough.

NOIZEFRONT~Do you have any piercings? How many?
Kyle: I used to have a lot but took them out. The only ones
still in are my nipples.
Rickey: I used to have several, and despite removing or losing the majority of my
jewelry... all the holes still remain. I don't seem to heal properly. I have
issues with my immune system.

NOIZEFRONT~What else would you like pierced?
Kyle: Nothing.
Rickey: Nothing right now, piercings are too high maintenance. I used to manage a
piercing parlour and I have seen what can happen when treatment is neglected
or when the human body disagrees with metal types. yuck!

NOIZEFRONT~Who is your all time favorite  visual artist and can you tell us about him/her

Kyle: I like Mark Ryden's artwork a lot.
Rickey: I think the most important artist is Leonardo Davinci, because of the
standards he set and techniques he discovered. Stylistically though, I am a
huge fan of Camille Rose Garcia & Mark Ryden. I like it when conceptually
dark subjects are conveyed in a brilliantly pop style.

NOIZEFRONT~Which of the seven deadly sins do you feel best represents you and why?

Kyle: It would depend on what day you ask me. Right now I'm
Anger with a little bit of Sloth & Gluttony on the side.
Rickey: I guess I tend to be gluttonous when it comes to punishment and
self-discipline. If I had my way, It would be sloth all the way. I like naps
and lots of 'em!

NOIZEFRONT~What great words of wisdom would you like to share with your fans, who are trying to accomplish what you do?

Kyle: If you love what you do, keep on doing it. You have to
make it your life & then something good will come out
of it!
Rickey: Be patient, headstrong, and refuse the presence of obstacles regardless of
their labeled intentions.

NOIZZEFRONT~If someone was to bring you a care pack…what would want it?
Kyle: Big Red, Valium, & Chapstick.
Rickey: Candy & Liquor.

NOIZEFRONT~Are you in a relationship?
Kyle: Maybe...
Rickey: Does alcoholism count? Just joking, really... I
like going on dates.

NOIZEFRONT~What is your favorite movie? What types of movies do you really like?
Kyle: I don't really have a favorite, but I like John Waters
& I also love disaster movies.
Rickey: I love cheesy horror or trashy old John Waters Movies. Also, I tend to love
anything David Lynch does. Some of my favorite movies are: Harold & Maude,
Edward Scissorhands, Desperate Living, Monster, Silence of the Lambs, the
Breakfast Club.
