Tommy Gunn- Malice in Wonderland written by Red
Noizefront: Your favourite song that you have written and why?
Tommi: I don't write songs, but I work with the rest of the guys with the arrangement of the song, and of course I have a word on the
drum rhythm and signatures. My personal Malice favourite must be "Lucifer's Town", because I have heard It a zillion times, and it still
totally rocks. And fun to play!
Noizefront: Your favourite venue to play?
Tommi: As I have been several times to the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, it has always been a dream to play there... And why not go all
out and play on the Orange stage! Must also say Budokan.. That would have been amazing!
Noizefront: Your favourite song to perform?
Tommi: I like "Devil Dance", that one gets the crowd moving,
and me fired up..! Also a new song "Absinthe Diary" is a live
favourite. Hope we can play it for you guys soon!
Noizefront:Do you have any plans to tour in the near future?
Tommi: We are about to sign a deal to tour Italy January -06,
and I really look forward to that! I hope other tours will appear
soon, and you will be the first to know!
Noizefront: Name one band you would like to tour with.
Tommi: Man, there are so many bands I would love to tour
with... Thinking realistically, I am looking forward to tour with
bands that are like us; up-and coming bands that are one step
from hitting big time. But if you twist my arm, my one choice
would be Mötley; the grand fathers of sleaze metal..
(he smiles)
Noizefront: What should fans expect from A Malice in
Wonderland concert?
Tommi: Expect a energetic show, with a band that knows what
the crowd wants; a great show with great music..
Noizefront: How would you describe your bands sound?
Tommi: Malice in Wonderland sounds like a group of mates l just hitting it off, playing the music we love  ... a blend of metal, pop, rock
and glam.
Noizefront: Tell me a tour story...
Tommi: There are a few.. : I usually think of the first concert we did in Oslo in 2000. I was hired in as a drummer and didn't know the
guys too well.. but, man, what a trip! After the gig (that went great) we partyed until morning and ended up with us crashing in a flat.
There was so little room that Rikki Foxx had to sleep under a table, almost freezing to death. There are many stories, but I remember
this trip best, because this was the time I got to be friends with the guys, and got me to ultimately join the band.
Noizefront: What are the band's musical influences and why?
Tommi: All of the guys have their separate influences that colour the music in Malice... For myself, I have a metal background, playing
in several black and death metal bands. I feel that brings in a heavy sound in my drumming, and ultimately to the Malice sound. And I
have always loved drummers that play groovy and simplistically, and I try to take this into Malice... Meaning no overplaying or crazy
drum fills, but playing what works best for the song.

nailed..! I think that song marked a kind of changing point to our musical style.
Noizefront: What do you do to relax?
Tommi: Hang out with friends, I guess.. Or just surfing reading reviews of all kinds of stuff.. Movies, music, waffle irons.... You name
it..
(Smiles)

Noizefront: What is your favourite movie and what kind of movies do you like?
Tommi: I have always been into 2. World War movies and documentaries. I was amazed by Bruno Ganz interpretation of Hitler in "Der
Untergang".. But I guess my favourite is "Saving Private Ryan" and the following TV series.
Noizefront: Do you believe in ghosts and have you ever had a creepy experience?
Tommi: I do not believe in ghosts... But I have worked with a nurse that claimed that she could sense and see the dead people in the
ward we worked in. Could be creepy when I was on night shifts.
Noizefront: Which of the seven deadly sins do you most resemble and why?
Tommi: Lust, I guess.. a pretty basic instinct in all beings.

Rapid Questions:

London / New York ?
Tommi: NY, but London is high on my list too
Pearl/Tama?
Tommi: Tama... for sentimental reasons
Goth/glam?
Tommi: Glam...l love the energy
Absinthe / Budweiser?
Tommi: I'm a beer man.. so give me Bud.. or even better, Heineken!
Vanilla / Lemon?
Tommi: Absolut(ly) lemon

Noizefront:  Lastly, If a fan were to bring you a care pack while you're on the road, what could you find inside that would make you
smile?
Tommi: As long as It's something that tells that he/she likes what we do, It will guaranteed make me smile!
Thanx for the Interview! You do a great job! Thanks to everybody supporting Malice In Wonderland! Hope to see you all soon from
stage!
Noizefront: What is the one CD you cannot live without while on the road?
Tommi: I can't say that there are one cd that I got to have.. That changes
over time. Right now I'm listening to the new Arcturus album, which I think
is great. I'm a big fan of von Blomberg's drumming.
The one cd I think I've listened to the most since I was a kid, must be
Metallica's "...And Justice for all". I still enjoy listening to It from time to
time.
Noizefront: Your current favourite songs?
Tommi: Hard to pick, but here is some of my all time favourites:
Acturus: "To Thou Who Dwellest In The Night" from the "Asperia Hiems
Symfonia" album.. Never get tired of that song.. And It's got the best solo
I've ever heard on it!
Mötley: "Kickstart my heart" --Pure adrenalin!
Rammstein: "Keine Lust" -- Heavy shit
Anathema: "Angelica" --Could make a grown man cry
Plus  a million more.
Noizefront: Now you are in a 'rock band' are all your schoolboy fantasies
coming true?
Tommi: It's definitely a dream come trough to have released an album! At
least I have something to show to my grandchildren when I'm old.. :-)
I am very pleased to be in a band with such talented musicians, and, yeah,
which school kid doesn't dream to be in a fully fledged rock'n'roll band?
Noizefront: Tell us a random fact about anything...
Tommi: Well, the song "Nightclub...." was created in a rehearsel break
when Chris was screwing around on the synth. He suddenly started playing
the synth melody and I started playing the drums to It, and It was basically
