Urrke-Maryslim written by Red
Urrke: Hi there guys! I’m in the dressing room
before the show in Stuttgart with Maryslim,
Wednesday 13 and  The 69 Eyes.

NF: Ha-ha. Thank you for taking time out the talk
to us.What is you’re favourite venue to play?

Urrke: Any venue which is well set up and well
arranged and everything works and the show is
well promoted to get biggest possible audience.

NF: What was your favourite city to perform in?

Urrke: I can mention many! Helsinki, Amsterdam,
New York, Barcelona, Frankfurt, etc, etc.

NF: What is your favourite song that you have
written and why?

Urrke: I would probably say "You Got An Attitude". Because it rocks like fuck and I like the attitude of it! (winks)

NF: What is your favourite song to perform?

Urrke: Hmmmm... Tricky One. Right now possibly "Part Of Me", because its a great new song, which feel fresh and I am very
energetic and jumping about during the performance of that one. It kicks ass to put it shortly.

NF: Do you have plans to tour worldwide?

Urrke: We will see. Right now we are doing Germany, Belgium, Holland, Sweden and Finland. Of course we wanna play everywhere
possible!

"tourstory" you possibly can tell anyone. Everything has been great and we now have a lot of new fans in Germany, Holland &
Belgium.

NF: What is the one thing that you dread about touring?

Urrke: Being away from my girlfriend.

NF: Awe, that is the sweetest answer thus far. What is the one thing on the road you cannot live without?

Urrke: A proper bed and some privacy.

NF: What is one of your all time favourite bands?

Urrke: I definitely must say two: Kiss & the Sex Pistols!

NF: What is your current favourite bands and songs?

Urrke: Hmm.. Hanoi Rocks, Wednesday 13, 69 Eyes, Nomads, The Hellacopters, Backyard Babies,... errhh. And a lot of other
friends,(laughs)

NF: When was it you realized you wanted to be a musician?

Urrke: I dunno. I think I have never really realized that actually (smiles) I just love to play! Thats it.

NF: What was the first song you learned to play?

Urrke: Hmm.. some children’s kind of song like "twinkle little star" or what it may be called in English (winks) on the violin, which I
played between the age of 8-9.

NF: Name one band you would like to tour with.

Urrke: The Foo Fighters.

NF: What is the one CD you cannot live without while on the road?

Urrke: Eddie Meduza; A crazy Swedish alcoholic "teddy boy"/"raggare" with wonderful songs for the road, In Swedish of course. He
was a genious. RIP.

NF: What should fans expect from you on the new tour?

Urrke: The best ever possible shows they can imagine + a bunch of really nice guys that loves our fans! They can definitely expect a
good time.

NF: What is the weirdest / strangest thing you have been sent by a fan?

Urrke: Haven’t received any weird things as far as I’m concerned. But the other day some people gave me a miniature bass guitar
that was a cigarette lighter. Such small things are very sweetest and makes me happy and makes me feel appreciated a lot.

NF: How do you want to be remembered?

Urrke: As a very down to earth person who played some good music and tried his best to be a good man in all ways.

NF: What is your favourite book. And what would you say about it to make others want to read it?

Urrke: "Also Sprach Zarathusthra" by Nietsche. It is expanding your
consciousness in a positive way!

NF: What do you feel is the hardest thing to over come in this business?

Urrke: Not getting paid properly and assholes trying to use you and take
advantage of you.

NF: What is one of your biggest pet peeves?

Urrke: I don’t exactly get what you mean here, but I’m fond of cats.

NF: (laughs) That is fine. It’s like a small annoyance, like popping gum.

Urrke: Ok. (laughs) I am not easily annoyed by small things. I live in my
own little "bubble" (winks)

NF: Tell us a random fact about anything...

Urrke: Who said it should be easy?

NF: What do you do to relax?

Urrke: Read, sleep, watch TV/movies, listen to cool music.

NF: Which of the seven deadly sins do you most resemble and why?

Urrke: I dunno. You should not steal maybe? ;-) We steal a lot while making music. Just like everybody else. But we steal nicely, as a
tribute to our heroes. A little here and there.

NF: Do you believe in ghosts and have you ever had a creepy experience?

Urrke: Yes I believe. And I’ve experienced some weird things. I don’t wanna go into detail. But I would simply call it "poltergeist
light" (smiles)

NF: What was the best Holiday you have ever had?

Urrke: I was on Barbados for 2 weeks once. That fuckin rocked. Lovers rocked, that is (smirks)

NF: When you hear the word ‘American’ what comes to mind?

Urrke: America is such a big country, so its not possible to think the same thing about people from New York, Alabama, Texas,
Frisco, LA or wherever (smiles) America is freedom though!

NF: What was it like to work with Jyrki 69 on Alive and This ‘Corrosion’?

Urrke: That was a great and cool thing of course. Jyrki is a very good friend of mine and it was nice to do something together
musically. Finally. Now we perform this "Corrosion" live with him on guest vocals on this tour and it’s a great and appreciated
success!

NF: We admire him quite a bit, for his work with UNICEF. It is good to see you all succeeding! What's the last thing you heard or
read in the news that pissed you off?

Urrke: Something about unfair politics I guess. Like "reversed Robin Hood-politics" as "take from the poor and give to the rich". That
is the biggest problem we have on this earth, and it will be our Armageddon in the end.

NF: If a fan were to bring you a care pack while you're on the road, what couldyou find inside that would make you smile?

Urrke: Hmm.. Almost whatever I guess, that is seriously meant. Presents are always enjoyable. Like that abovementioned lighter; that
made me smile! (big grin)
NF: What is the one thing that always goes through your head before you
head on stage?

Urrke: "Lets have some fun now!"

NF: Describe your band mates to us.

Urrke: (Hehe), Kent: Meat & Potatoes R&R-kind of guy, Mats: Have
everything together and very precise about things, Patrik: A total riddle!
(smiles)

NF: If you could cover any song past or present and perform it with the
Original band members, what song and band would it be?

Urrke: "Did You No Wrong" by the Sex Pistols.

NF: Tell me a tour story?

Urrke: A tour story? There are a lot of tour stories. Forgotten cymbals in
Wurzburg, missed boats in Finland, etc. Because I guess you wanna hear
about the fuckups? Otherwise I can just tell you that the tour we are on right
now. Haven’t seen any major fuckups whatsoever and that  is the best
