Ozzy Osbourne -Black Rain written by Stephanie

A new Ozzy Osbourne album is a lot like sex – even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good. This CD didn’t necessarily
disappoint – hell, the man could probably put out an album of nursery rhymes and I’d buy it because his voice can just about
make anything rock.
Just as with any Osbourne album, this one, too, comes with a couple of “sweet spots”. Two tracks in particular that have
become permanently embedded in my favorite playlist are “Don’t Wanna Stop” and “Lay Your World On Me”.
The first of these is my most favorite because the lyrics could not have been written for anyone BUT the beloved Prince of
Darkness. When you’re singing along to the anthemic chorus “…I don’t know what I’m doing, all I know is I don’t wanna
stop… All fired up I’m gonna go ‘til I drop…” you’ll see what I mean.
Overall, while this may not be a musical masterpiece – pick it up. Grab the singles from iTunes or splurge on the $9.99
recyclable album cover. Not quite worth the price of the jewel CD case release.
