| NF: Hey guys how are you? Tori: Quite splendid! Thank you. Crip: Hey! we're all mint cheers, thanks for askin!! How about you? Joey: Pretty good thanks! Danny: Awesome, Tired, But awesome. NF: I'm good thanks. How would you describe your music to those who haven’t heard it? Tori: Noise! pretty, beautiful, dirty, noise! Joey: It’s loud...And fast! Danny: I really can't, errr… Rocky Punky Happy Jappy Chappy stuff…kinda! Crip: Think Nikki Sixx meets Souxsie Souix (preferably spelt right), getting drunk and having 4 musical babies. That's us. NF: Who are your influences musically? Tori: GreenDay, Kate Bush, David Bowie, TheCure, Bjork all of those lovely people are on my stereo right now! Crip: Motley Crue, Nirvana, Sum 41...anything that sounds, looks and feels good! Danny: Motley Crue, Avenged Sevenfold and The Chili Peppers Joey: Bits of stuff from Ramones and Nirvana down to The Cure and David Bowie. There’s bits n pieces sticking out from everywhere really! NF: What’s been your favourite venue to play so far? Danny: There’s a few actually, The Barflys are great, I really liked Joiners in Southampton. Rock City's pretty unbeatable though! Joey: We played Rock City in Nottingham last year which was awesome ‘cos every rock n roll kid in Nottingham wants to play there and we got to do it! The Assembly Rooms in Derby is always a good gig too. Tori: Park Hall Live! It’s a charity festival that had taken place in Mapperley village Derbyshire for the past four years, it was the last one this year! We really enjoyed it and it’s nice to help out too. Crip: For me... Rock City main stage! NF: What was it like to tour with the boys from Trashlight Vision? Tori: Brilliant they are great people and its a bonus that they're a great band! They made us feel very welcome on the tour and they have amazing “bubblegum” accents. Crip: Absolutely awesome. They're my favourite band, so to be sharing the stage with them was the best thing ever! Danny: They're mint! They're all so cool! It's great to play with a good band every night, It makes you really push yourself! Joey: We had a great time. They’re the nicest group of people you could ever wish to meet and they were always really good to us too so it made spending two weeks on the road with them really easy, which was a bonus! NF: Can you tell us a tour story? Tori: I'll let the boys do that...I am the least rock’n’roll person in the world I drank tea and slept as much as possible! Crip: How about Acey showing Joey the “brown spider”? Or the many tales of the broken van? Joey: I got a knock on my hotel room door at 3am and opened it to Acey and Roger’s arseholes in my face! I went back to bed. Didn’t sleep though. Crip: I'd like to be sandwiched in a bill between someone like Motley Crue or Velvet Revolver…some big rock 'n' roll band, and then have someone like Justin Timberlake to open the show. Just imagine the amount of girls that'd be there! NF: What’s your favourite movie and why? Tori: Thats harsh! I have a million! but my joint top would have to be the Nightmare before Christmas because I have grown up with that film and it is a beautiful work of art, also a clockwork orange, it is pure brilliance. Crip: Dude, where's my car. 'Cus it's the first one I could think of! Joey: The George Romero version of Dawn Of The Dead. It’s just a classic zombie movie and there were some great effects for the time too. Tom Savini’s a legend! Danny: At the moment....It's either Karate Kid or Bill and Ted's excellent adventure, you need to ask why!? NF: What cd, is a must have on tour? Tori: The Cure's greatest hits! it makes me love things more. Crip: Robin Black - Instant Classic. Joey: We don’t really get much chance to listen to CDs. An iPod always comes in handy though! Danny: Fuck CD's you need a Nintendo DS and Pokemon! NF: Which of the seven deadly sins are you? Tori: Pride, I am very passionate about things and I like to get things perfect. This album is possibly the only thing I’ve ever been proud of... I’ll give it a few more listens until I change my mind! Crip: huh? Danny: Sloth...No doubt. Joey: Yup Sloth! I think we’re all a bit sloth! NF: Which festival would you like to play at? Danny: Any of the major ones! Tori: Any really! Although I’m not into playing in daylight... there’s an awful lot of atmosphere goes missing in the day. Give me a dirty dive any day! Joey: Download always looks pretty good. It’s close to home too! Crip: Download would be awesome! In one of the tents though, much better than the main stage! NF: Do you believe in ghosts and if so can you tell us about a ghostly experience you might have had? Tori: I don't know, I think a lot of things can be explained by science but it amazes me how many unexplainable things happen... there’s a girl that stands at the side of my bed, and she sometimes puts her arm under my pillow. Joey: I dunno, I’ve never seen any but doesn’t mean they’re not real. Maybe I’ll get to meet one one day. I used to watch Casper on TV though!...that count? Danny: After I'd seen the movie 'The Ring' My TV came on on it's own in the middle of the night. It was shit scary until I realised I'd just put my drink on the remote. Crip: Nope! NF: What are your plans for Halloween this year? Joey: We’re playing a gig at Junktion 7 in Nottingham with our friends DIP as well as The High Society and Baddies. We always play with DIP on Halloween and it’s always good fun so it should be a pretty cool night! Tori: To think if a costume to beat Danny's Willy Wonka last year and to play a gig with DIP! Crip: Hopefully a gig in Nottingham. But at the moment the venue's been double booked! NF: What can we expect from Patchwork grace in the new year? Tori: It’s difficult to say right now, hopefully you'll be seeing a lot more of us! Danny: More of the same, But even better! Crip: Hopefully a chart topping album and a spankin' new single :D Joey: I dunno, that’s miles away! Maybe we’ll be on a one-off Top Of The Pops special? NF: Thanks for your time Tori: Thank you so much. Crip: Loved it! Joey: Thanks for asking. Danny: not at all…thank you! |
