| Rotten Rotny Shouts out to Red |

| Red (Noizefront): What are you up to these days? -R. : Traveling alot. Just got off the Nocturne tour with Mushroomhead and Dope. Moved from New Orleans due to the hurricane and a nasty break up with my ex girlfriend. Then headed straight to San Francisco to play with Psyclon Nine. Red (noizefront): What is your one true passion? -R. : Definately music. My life revolves around it. Red (Noizefront) :What did you want to be when you were younger? -R.: A fighter pilot. Red (Noizefront) :Why 'Dj Rotten Rotny'? -R. : My real name is Rodney. A few years ago I DJed at a Goth/Industrial club in Columbus OH called Outland. The manager there used to call me ROTny as a joke and it kinda stuck and went from there. Red (Noizefront): What fascinates you about Cthulhu? -R. : I've always been a big HP Lovecraft fan. Reading his books when I was younger kinda got me into horror novels and movies. Red (Noizefront):Where are you originally from? -R. : Winter Park FL Red (Noizefront):How many piercings do you have? -R. : 11 Red (Noizefront):What tattoos do you have? -R. : Lots of zombies, roaches, skulls, tombstones, eyeballs, smoke, wires, a weird lil devil guy with an axe, and other random nastiness.... oh and a D&D creature right out of the monster manual called a Mind Flayer Red (Noizefront):Did you design all of your own? -R. : No, I just give my tattoo artists ideas on what I'd like and they just draw it up right there on the spot. Excluding the Mind Flayer which, as I said, was straight out of a book. Red (Noizefront): Where do you see yourself in ten years time and what would you like to have achieved? -R. : Hmmm, I'll probabally move on to producing music instead of primarily being a live performer. I'd like to be a bit more stable with my home life. Maybe pick a city to live in and actually stay there for once! Red (Noizefront): How many bands have you played in? -R. : 10 or 11 I think. Red (Noizefront): What are you musical influences? -R. : I was in school band playing trumpet for 8 years and enjoy classical oriented music, but now I primarily am Influenced by what I consider to be innovative music. Like extreme metal, industrial, and experimental electronic music. Red (Noizefront): Can you describe if you perform differently depending on the band you are playing with? For example, Nocturne verses Bozo Porno Circus? Do you have different personas? -R. : Sure I do. Nocturne is more metal and it brings out more aggression in me. BPC is more dancey and I think I smile more and do lil dances as I play. Hehe. It also really depends on what instrument I'm playing. If I play bass I can run around the stage more, as it's slightly easier to play for me. Guitar is more precise and I have to pay more attention to what my hands are doing. Same with synth. Red (Noizefront): Where would you most like to perform? -R. : I want to tour outside of north america. Europe, Japan, Australia.... that would be nice. Red (Noizefront): Name one band you'd like to tour with? -R. :There's potential for a european Suicide Commando/Psyclon Nine tour. I hope that happens. Red (Noizefront): What is the one CD you can't live without? -R. :Whoa, It's different for me every week. I really like the first Berzerker cd. Red (Noizefront): What one CD should never have been made? -R. : Haha.. Not sure.I hate the new Apoptygma Berzerk. Journey. Haha! Red (Noizefront): Which of the Seven Deadly Sins best represents your personality and why? -R. : Lust. I'm single. Red (Noizefront): If a fan were to bring you a carepack, what could you find inside that would make you smile? -R. : See above questions regarding beer and candy. ;-) Black tube socks and baby wipes too. Mac NC15 studio fix! Red (Noizefront): Do you believe in ghosts and have you ever had any creepy experiences? -R. : I don't believe or disbelieve. I'm constantly creeped out by strange things I think I see out of the corner of my eye.... but then again it could be all the acid I did when I was younger... Red (Noizefront): Tell us a random fact about anything... -R. : I wore liquid latex the other day for the first time and really liked it. Red (Noizefront): What was your opinion on how Hurricane Katrina was handled? -R. : I wasn't there for it but when I returned home to New Orleans the city was in much better shape then I expected. They seemed to have gotten it under control. But if I gave a grade to what I've seen and heard described I'd give them a C-. Red (Noizefront): How did it affect you personally? -R. : Turned my life upside down. Red (Noizefront): Would you ever live in New Orleans again? -R. : No. I move alot and never goto the same place twice as a general rule. Red (Noizefront): What is your opinion on The Bush Administration? -R. : He's an oil tycoon. Do the math. But overall I'm not supportive of a presidency at all. Less federal control and greater flexibility when it comes to states rights. I hate politics. Rapid Questions: Disc Jockey / Bassist? -R. : DJ Nocturne / Dope? -R. : Silly question. Nocturne. Budweiser / Heineken? -R. : King of beers. 8-) But I've gotten back into vodka, after my long affair with Jager. Old school horror / New school horror? -R. : Both. Vanilla / Lemon? -R. : Sour candy. |
