| NF/ Hey guys how are you all? SS/ Fucking Awesome thanks NF/ How did the name of the band come about and who thought of it? S/ I was reading up on Marilyn Monroe and I just thought of it af because I was thinking about the media get these girls into the papers to build em up and get everyone loving them just to rip them down and completely kill there careers and in her case take her own life and so that’s what its about really. NF/ How did you all meet? K/ Well me and Chad have known each other since we were like 4/5, then I joined Showgirl Suicide when there was a previous line up as a lead guitarist then that went from there. S/ Me and this motherfucker, me and Draven have known each other for fucking ages, we’ve got up to crazy antics, too many hangovers, I could tell you some crazy stories but with being so drunk, I cant remember em, um waking up in random places having to work our way home, so its been fun and I was in a different band that broke up which are called Heroes are the Enemy, quite a big metal band and we broke up and wanted to start something new and we were thinking we want some, we want a front man that was gonna be unpredictable and you don’t know what the fuck he’s gonna do next and 1 name popped into my head and that was Draven, so I got on the phone to him straight away. NF/ Who are your influences collectively? SS/ Rob Zombie, Wednesday 13, Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, The Misfits but there’s a whole mix there. NF/ Who do you think is the biggest joker in the band and what’s the best joke they’ve played? S/ Ah well we know who it is but where’s the list, its Draven by the way. D/ My personal favourite was 1 I played on Kieron, I got this girl to drive up to London so I could shag her at Drew’s, and got the condom and tied it in a knot as you do, and I was like what shall I do with this condom (every1 laughs) I was just gonna put it in the bin and they don’t flush so he came up with his leather jacket on (points to Kieron) put it done in the studio, so I decided to sneak it in his jacket. K/ I didn’t discover it til 2 days later. S/ With a little note that said ‘here’s Johnny!!) (Everyone laughs) NF/ How would you some up your music in 3 words? SS/ Fuck N Roll!! NF/ Do you believe in ghosts and if do you have a ghostly experience you can tell us about? SS/ Shit loads of ghosts. S/ Yeah growing up in an Irish family, Draven in the morning when your hung-over is a scary fucking experience!! NF/ Given the choice who would be the band you’d most like to play with and why? SS/ Motley Crue, and do we need to say why!! NF/ What do you have planned for the summer? SS/ Hitting the studio, recording the album. NF/ Is there a festival you would like to play if so which 1? SS/ Cruefest, Hellfest. NF/ Style wise who would you say are your biggest influences? K/ We’re not really based on any1 we are just a mash of things. S/ Its just anything you can customize and do your own shit to really. NF/ Cool, if you were a cartoon character who would it be and why? D/ Stewie from Family Guy, just cos I like fucking with people so much. C/ I’d be Baloo from The Jungle Book NF/ Which of your songs is your favourite to play and why? SS/ Kick Back probably cos it gets every1 going. S/ I think Kick Back cos it brings out what we actually do and we’re not making anything up in it. NF/ What does 1 of your shows offer to people that haven’t seen it? K/ Usually a head butt in the face from this crazy fucker (points at Saint) S/ Its either that or broken guitars and some sort of trip to the hospital the next day, no its an experience it’s a rock n roll fucking stage show, its like promoters say the place is calm, we come in tear it up and then go. NF/ Yeah we saw you at the show in Bedford and wanted more. S/ Wicked keep em hungry for more.. NF/ Is there any warms ups or rituals you do before goin onstage? D/ Drew always gos for a big shit, its like where the fuck is Drew?? S/ He’s taking a dump! No its pretty much hanging out having a good time and being happy because, if your having fun people will have fun that’s the main thing. NF/ What’s been your favourite venue to play and why? K/ The Golden Cross in Coventry that was pretty cool. S/ It was wicked we had all the dancers up onstage it was 1 of those gigs where everyone was talking to everyone and you feel like you've’ made so many friends. NF/ What’s the weirdest thing that’s happened at 1 of your shows? S/ Read Classic Rock magazine (laughs), what about that show when we were sound checking and that guy came up and fucking tried to start on you, we were so hyped up and there was this wanker in the audience but theShowgirls put him down it was just a crazy show and the next day the reporter said they’ll come over drink, spit in ya face and push you down. NF/ How did touring with Spit Like This benefit the band? S/ It showed me a lot about how a professional band do things like setting up and playing and shit, I don’t know bout u guys. D/ Yeah was a good selection of gigs man soo. NF/ Can you leave us with a random final thought (that was a bit of a mouthful) S/ Well which one is it a random final thought or a bit of a mouthful?
