Trashlight VisionbEsquires, Bedford-Written by Jaxxi D

From reliable information and guidance by some of my mates, ( and
the album Alibis and Ammunition,) I decided to head to Bedford Friday
evening to see Trashlight Vision, and thank goodness I did.
I arrived at 6pm and went for drinks at Danny’s bar downstairs, later
on we started queuing to go in and I realised fans had come from
many miles to see them including a family from Holland.
Before going in I met the guitarist from Patchwork Grace (Crip) and
had photos taken with him after some chatting had taken place.
After heading upstairs I got myself positioned on the barrier at the
front, and to my surprise was again joined by Crip, to continue the
chat we had, had earlier and then the show began.
2 bands were onstage before Patchwork Grace, 1 of which was
delayed by a technical hitch due to a bad connection between the
guitarist’s amp and his guitar. Due to this I think some songs were cut
outta the remaining support bands sets.
The guys from Patchwork Grace were awesome live and I was pretty
impressed, high energy and full of action throughout the whole set,
and of course no-one could have missed the special guest appearance
made by Acey when he emerged from the dressing room in an owl
mask and pants with glasses of booze to give to the members in
Patchwork, fuckin hilarious.
There’s always something stupid happening at gigs and yeh hands up
this time it was me, so anyway I knocked my bottle of water on the
stage and couldn’t reach it so asked who I assumed was a roadie or

someone to pass it back to me, and to my surprise it was
brought to my attention it was in fact Trashlight Vision
guitarist (Steve Haley), round of applause if you will. Anyway
I got my water back handed by Steve and then the band hit
the stage at bout 10pm.
I have been told by some that Acey’s vocals are not very
good, but I would have to disagree, and his stage performance
is awesome, he definitely knows how to please the crowd.
The band itself were loud and charged up and it’s so rare to
get an opportunity to get so close to a band such as this.
Hits were played by the band such as ‘Nola’, ‘Screw Worm
Baby’ and ‘My Fuck You 2 U’ which were appreciated by all.
It is intense to have such a small venue and all that energy
from both the band and fans, I went in not being that much of
a fan of Trashlight but go away with sum awesome memories
and pictures and more of fan than when I got there, a wicked
night!!!
