Wednesday 13 and Alice Cooper, Boston written by Heidi
Wednesday 13 Orpheum Theatre, Boston MA 10/29/06

If Nightmare on Elm Street went on Broadway, it would be Wednesday 13 to write the score.

The infamous front man and his merry band of murderers (Racci “Sketchy” Shay on drums, Eric Griffin on guitar and Nate
Manor filing in for KidKid on bass) set out to ghoul the Orpheum Theatre-- unfortunately for these performers, it seemed that
half the audience was on life support already.

What kind of creepy bastards would they be if they let that stop them?  Regardless of the oxygen tanks, 13 and the boys set the
place ablaze anyway-- metaphorically of course, Massachusetts has had its share of far less entertaining fires-- managing to
rouse a good chunk of the catatonic crowd to forensix frenzy with such blasphemous ballads (sorry, couldn't help it) as “Faith
in the Devil,” “Happily After Cadaver” and “I Love To Say Fuck.”  For those of us who weren't on drip feed, we bounced along
with Griffin and Manor as they dueled across the stage, Sketchy flashing sticks and thrashing drums and Wednesday himself
doing his damnedest to play necromancer on the whole crowd, dreads flailing and voice wailing.
Right, so Wednesday doesn't wail so much as snarl and growl and, well, rock our faces off like a good zombie flick when you
haven't slept in six and a half days.

Summary?  The band Wednesday 13 will make you want to raise some zombies and pillage the local suburb for some good old
fashioned horror fun.  Catch them if you can, check their website or here at Noizefront.net for the tour.

I think I got my point across.
