| Wednesday 13 in London Written by Jaxxi D |

It was a freezing cold November day, and my mate and I had queued for about five hours. This however was not with its fair share of entertainment; along with passers by walking down past the queue to take photos of us we also had plenty of drink to keep us happy. I have to also mention Elliot who was an amazing juggler and helped to keep our spirits high juggling many items including his mobile phone, a bottle of water, juggling balls, and many more things. As always, unfortunately there is always one or in this case, two that have to spoil the atmosphere. And on this occasion it was two bitchy emo girls. One from London, the other from Australia who arrived in the queue at 3.30pm but at 6pm decided to ask me if I would mind if they could push in to get to the front of the queue. I was like, “Yeah, of course you can,” and they said, “Really?”, and I said, “No, of course you fucking can’t!” The Australian bitch even tried to shake my hand to get past and I just gave her a fucking stare to end all stares, which put her in her place. Anyway, once inside I made my way to the second row and got myself positioned so I could see Mr 13’s mic and Pig’s clearly. Due to me being at the last few gigs, people around me told me they recognised me and I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ve been at all of Wednesday’s gigs in London so far.” Sweet Suzi came onstage at about 7.45pm and although some people did not like them, I definitely did. The bass player looked like a Nikki Sixx look-alike and the drummer and guitarist were great!! Suzi, (who I assume was the singer), had a fairly good voice and made a lot of contact with the fans down the front row. At 8.30pm Wednesday and co hit the stage and the audience went fucking mental! I had the best view I could have had of both Pig and Wednesday and as always Wednesday had the audience’s attention through the whole show!! His voice was awesome and the band seemed very close in their performance onstage. He played most his hits onstage including; ‘RAMBO’, ‘Bad Things…’, ‘Haunt Me’, ‘I love to say fuck’, and a song dedicated to The Ramones. It made my evening to hear them play ‘I walked with a zombie’, because on previous times I have not experienced it live. And so to round up, fourth time seeing these guys live and they never fail to put on the best show that they can, and I loved every bloody minute of it!! |
